From babies to adults, beginners to advanced — our STA-accredited teachers run small classes in a warm, private pool. No crowded leisure centre, just focused, friendly tuition.

Brighton Swimming Centre has been in Kemptown since 1976. We teach babies, children and adults to swim. We train the lifeguards who keep Brighton safe. We run the only structured sea swimming programme on the south coast. And we do it all as a not-for-profit, because access to water confidence shouldn't depend on your postcode.
Everything we earn goes back into the pool, the teaching, and the community around it.

Pool to Pier
Swim the sea with confidence.
Pool to Pier is Brighton's oldest structured open water swimming course. You start in the pool, build technique and cold water confidence, then graduate to the sea. Just proper swimming in real water.
Courses run spring through autumn. Spaces fill fast.
